Complete, easy-to-use data collection functions for DTM/NPL-801 Series total stations
TDS-800 field survey software from Tripod Data SystemsTM (TDS) features
a common TDS interface for data collection using Nikon’s DTM/NPL-801 Series total
stations. It gives you a complete set of survey functions, including built-in COGO,
stakeout, adjustments, road layout, earth work, feature and command codes, screen
graphics and more. If you’ve used TDS survey software—the #1 choice of surveyors since
1995¹—on any other platform, TDS-800 will look and feel familiar. So you can
begin working productively right away.

Industry-standard interface
TDS-800 uses the same menus and screens as other TDS data collection software, so
you don’t have to learn an entirely new interface. The software gives you two-key
access to regular total station mode and an HP-style pop-up calculator with DMS
functions. Angle and distance information is always displayed, with automatic
point-to-point inverse available on any screen. TDS-800 also displays real-time
coordinate reduction of raw data, and point protection displays the next available
point.

Simple, versatile job management
TDS-800 makes it easy to manage multiple job files. You can create a new job, open
an existing job, rename a job and transfer job files to and from the total station.
You can view and edit coordinates, view raw data and convert raw data to the Nikon
format. TDS-800 also lets you edit jobs by deleting points and you can also modify
height of target, height of instrument and descriptors.
Familiar data collection routines
With TDS-800, you can continue to use the familiar data collection routines that
work for you. It displays traverse and sideshots on the same screen, and it works with
softkeys to give you quick access to frequently used functions such as off-center
shots and repetition modes. The software also provides angle and distance offset
options and lets you verify backsight by circle, distance or elevation.
