Powerful, easy-to-use data collection and layout for DTM/NPL-801 Series total stations
Nikon® AP-800 field survey software from Tripod Data
SystemsTM (TDS) gives you a powerful, versatile software platform for
managing, collecting and laying out data when using DTM/NPL-801 Series total
stations. Designed to be productive and easy to use, AP-800 is flexible and
user-customizable. You can configure the software with your own settings as well as
use built-in functions like known station, resection and stakeout. A comprehensive
database features intelligent point search, field information collection and
note-taking functions. The database also allows multiple downloads in different units

Easy-to-use job management
Use the Job Manager function to track and organize your survey jobs and other

and copy point coordinates between jobs as well as display and copy header information.
You can also rename or delete jobs, files and directories.

Intuitive data collection with error checking
Versatile data collection functions improve speed and accuracy. Quick codes let you
assign field codes to keys on the total station. For angle offsets, simply shoot,
re-sight and record; the software automatically asks you to confirm the offset type. It
calculates the coordinates of an unknown point based on angle measurements from two
known points. Where possible, dynamic aiming assistance is provided. And as you collect
your data, the software displays an alert to warn you of potential errors.
Efficient stakeout routines
Stakeout functions help increase stakeout efficiency. You can create a list of
points by number, code or radius from the total station. A “move rodman” display helps
direct the rodman to the next point. The software can also turn on the total station’s
Lumi-guide tracking light to help the rodman locate the correct line. You can view a
stakeout map at any time to see all the staked and unstaked points as well as your
instrument point and current prism location.
