High-performance 801 Series boosts productivity and protects data
Nikon 801 Series total stations deliver high-performance capabilities to help you get the job done right. You can choose between DTM models that use reflector sheets or prisms, and Nikon pulse laser (NPL) models with reflectorless capabilities that expand the environments you can survey without sacrificing speed or accuracy. NPL models let you survey in areas where using a prism would be impossible or dangerous. All 801 Series total stations have a fast, accurate EDM that boosts productivity. You can use the pre-installed survey software or add more capabilities with optional Nikon AP-800 or TDS-800 software. And industry-standard PCMCIA cards let you transfer files directly to and from your PC.

All 801 Series models feature a Lumi-Guide tracking light above the telescope objective lens. The Lumi-Guide emits one steady and one blinking beam of coherent red light, allowing the rodman to locate the correct line quickly and easily by finding the position where both are visible. Also, during stakeout the blinking cycle changes to indicate the stakeout direction—"come" or "go"—helping the rodman reach the next point more quickly. The Lumi-Guide also assists in one-man clearing of lines, and it works as a prism illuminator for night surveying.

Nikon 801 Series total stations feature a stakeout display that gives the rodman specific directions to make the stakeout process faster and more efficient. Plus, in collection mode you can define up to 10 one-touch Quick Codes that speed data input, initiate a measurement and store the data with a single keystroke.

Four models to choose from
There are four Nikon 801 Series total station models to choose from. Click here to view a specification chart of every Nikon total station in the 801 Series, so you can easily compare the models to find the one that's right for your needs.

Long battery life
You get two BC-80 clip-on batteries with your 801 Series total station. Each battery lasts up to 7.5 hours of continuous use, and automatic power management capabilities prolong battery life. The Auto Power Save feature puts your total station in standby mode after a set period of inactivity, and the Auto Power Cut feature turns your station off after a specified period.

Keep your data secure
The 801 Series features an advanced storage system that records data to a PCMCIA memory card as it's measured—eliminating the delays and communication problems associated with cables and separate data collectors. And the data security system backs up your data to the total station's internal memory—protecting your data from system errors, battery rundowns and lost data cards.

NPL-821
The NPL-821 pulse laser station lets you access environments inaccessible to conventional systems. It features all the advanced features of DTM models and uses an eye-safe Class 1 laser to measure points with an accuracy of ±(3+3 ppm x D) mm. You can also use the NPL-821 with reflector sheets or a standard prism. With a single prism, you can measure up to 16,400 ft. (5 km).

DTM-821/831/851
DTM models have a 1.5-second initial measurement and 0.5-second updates in normal mode. These models are also extremely precise, with accuracy of ±(2+2 ppm x D) mm in precise mode. Advanced software ensures fast, accurate measurements whether you use reflector sheets or glass prisms. And their design ensures accurate angle measurements and stability under all field conditions.
