Superior Nikon optics in an instrument that's rugged, waterproof and easy to use
The Nikon NE-200 Series electronic digital theodolites from TDS feature a 30x telescope and Nikon's world-renowned optics, which give you brighter, clearer images. You'll see the difference when you look through a Nikon theodolite. Nikon's legendary optics effectively let in more light, so you'll see much more detail and less distortion, especially in low-visibility conditions. Better optics help you aim more precisely, and they're much easier on your eyes—something you'll appreciate on long workdays. And Nikon theodolites have an easy-to-use platform to help you get the job done right.

The Nikon NE-203 and NE-202 theodolites feature a large, backlit LCD graphic display and keypad on both sides. Either screen can display both vertical and horizontal angles simultaneously.

One-touch keys for common functions
Four one-touch keys make the NE-203 and NE-202 easy to use. Common functions are simple to perform—you can instantly convert vertical angles to percent of grade, reset the horizontal angle to zero, lock the horizontal angle displayed on the LCD while you reposition, or repeat a measurement. Operation is simple and efficient.

Rugged and waterproof
With Nikon theodolites, you can count on reliable performance in tough conditions. Our theodolites are both rugged and waterproof. They have an IPX6 rating, meaning they can withstand powerful jets of water with no harmful effects.

Extra light for dark conditions
Our theodolites feature built-in reticle illuminators that provide a clear view of the crosshairs to help you work in tunnels, mines or other environments with little or no light. The LCD graphic displays are backlit as well, so you can read them easily even in the darkest conditions.

Focus to 2.3 ft.
The NE-203 and NE-202 feature a 30x telescope with a 45-mm objective aperture diameter. And Nikon's unique linear focusing mechanism improves focusing at both short and long distances. The minimum focusing distance is 2.3 ft. (0.7 m), so you can see sharp images even in confined spaces.

Power management feature
The NE-203 can operate for 21 hours with six AA (R6) manganese batteries and 47 hours with L40 (LR6) alkaline batteries, while the NE-202 can work for one hour more on either battery. You can extend battery life by setting the instrument to automatically shut off after 10 or 30 minutes of inactivity. And the power save function retains the last horizontal angle on display, so you can get right back to work.

Built-in vertical compensation
The built-in vertical compensation feature enables the NE-203 to detect instrument tilt as far back as plus or minus 3' from the vertical, and automatically compensate to ensure precise vertical angle readings. Both the NE-203 and NE-202 have an accuracy of 5".
