Proper Vent Hole Maintenance Summary The TDS Recon has a small vent that serves to protect the touchscreen from damage when the Recon is transported through elevation changes, and this vent must not be blocked. More Information The TDS Recon has a small vent hole on the back, near the top. Even with a CF-Cap installed, you can see this hole. The vent hole serves to equalize the atmospheric pressure inside the Recon, primarily protecting the touchscreen when the Recon is transported through elevation changes. If you cover up this vent hole with stickers and labels, and the end result may be a damaged touchscreen. Replacement of a touchscreen is expensive, and the Recon must be returned to TDS to have this work done. For complete information, please download the following PDF file. |
