Using Survey Pro 4.2 with drivers for Trimble 5600 DR 200+ Remote and Geodimeter 600DR 200 Summary Survey Pro™ 4.2 software users may experience longer than normal wait times when using the Trimble 5600 DR200+ Remote or Geodimeter 600DR200 drivers. Using these drivers when not connected to an instrument can result in longer than normal wait times as a result of Survey Pro trying to send settings to the instrument when not connected. Wait times can be up to two and half minutes or longer and may give the false appearance that Survey Pro is locked up. In some cases the wait cursor will appear but will not always be active (spinning). Rebooting the data collector will only start the wait time over. The only thing that can be done is to wait for the software to time out or to actually hook up to an instrument. This document specifies how to avoid extended wait times.
