Tips for accurate results when performing solar observations Summary The information contained in this document is meant to supplement the Survey ProTM Users and Reference Manuals, not replace it. Please consult the Survey Pro Users and Reference Manuals before starting the Solar Observation Routine. More Information There are two methods to choose from when starting the Solar Observation routine: Ephemeris and Date & Time. The Ephemeris method is preferred. The latest ephemeris data needed for the Solar Observation Routine can be found at http://www.cadastral.com/. Most Survey Pro users are working in Western Hemisphere. If you are, make sure to choose a positive (unsigned) number from the pick list found in the "Hrs To GMT" field of the Sun Shot dialog.
