Many 4.1 Survey Standard cards will not talk to Nikon guns using the TOPGUN setting. These guns must use the Leitz/Sets setting. There is no other work-around, except the upgrade. On TDS Cables, look for the NKN inscription. Set the "Data OUT" feature inside the Nikon Setup to "RSNikon" or "RS232 Nik" to send the shot data out to the DC. To get to the setup screens, turn the gun off and hold the 2nd Function key while turning the unit back on. Nikon DTM-300 is not "hard coded" to 1200 baud when SETs is selected.
