There are different setup procedures for the 400 series, 500 series, 600 series as well as the servo units. There are also different cables for the 600. The standard cable is a "Y" design with leads to gun, battery, and collector. The new cable has an adapter that turns the instrument plug into a HiROSE. Most 400 series guns require the user to trigger the shot from the D.C., then press the Aim button on the Geodimeter to collect the distance reading. This limitation is permanent and will not be corrected with an upgrade.
