| If the coordinates are rotated 180°, check to see that the gun
is in direct face. If the instrument must be operated in reverse-face,
then set the TDS 48's backsight circle to 180 instead of 0 (using
the [BACKS] key). Also check the Operating Modes screen under the
Setup menu. Insure that the Azimuth field is set up correctly. (Normally
North Azimuth.)
When [SIDES] or [TRAV] is performed, and the resulting coordinate
is rotated, the problem may be the backsight circle line in the Backsight
screen. This line should read 0 if the gun is being zeroed on the
backsight. An incorrect backsight azimuth or backsight point will
also cause incorrect orientation.
