Coordinates are not oriented properly, or the coordinates are Rotated

If the coordinates are rotated 180°, check to see that the gun is in direct face. If the instrument must be operated in reverse-face, then set the TDS 48's backsight circle to 180 instead of 0 (using the [BACKS] key). Also check the Operating Modes screen under the Setup menu. Insure that the Azimuth field is set up correctly. (Normally North Azimuth.)

When [SIDES] or [TRAV] is performed, and the resulting coordinate is rotated, the problem may be the backsight circle line in the Backsight screen. This line should read 0 if the gun is being zeroed on the backsight. An incorrect backsight azimuth or backsight point will also cause incorrect orientation.
