My Hardware Lock is not found after upgrading to Windows XP

To correct the driver failure under Windows XP after upgrading, you will want to do the following:

  1. Uninstall the Sentinel driver under Control Panel > Add/Remove programs. Select the remove option. If you receive any specific error messages when uninstalling please document the exact message and forward it to me.
  2. Reboot your computer.
  3. Go to the Rainbow Technologies website at this link http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp and download the latest driver release 5.39.2, which is XP compliant.
  4. Run the 5.39.2 executable.
  5. Reboot your PC.
  6. Go to Start > All Programs > TDS Survey Works > Survey Link and see if the driver is now recognized.
