Will SOLO Field work with a Compact Flash GPS receiver? For the Compact Flash GPS receiver provided by TDS, or any other Compact Flash GPS that we have tested, you should select SiRF as the Brand Name in the Receiver page of the Settings dialog box. This selection will also automatically change the Baud Rate to 4800.
When working with in iPAQ 3600 or 3700 series data collector, set the Serial Port to COM4. When working with an iPAQ 3800 series data collector, set the Serial Port to COM5. If you are using a different data collector, you will need to check the manufacturer's specifications to confirm which COM setting should be selected. |
