The following is an overview of some of the features of Survey Pro 4.x on the Nomad. To read more about the features, click the feature name preceding each feature's summary description.

Leveling
Survey Pro now has a new Leveling module. This module is designed to provide the structure and functionality necessary to collect leveling data using digital levels, optical levels and total stations.
Land XML Import and Export
LandXML capabilities enable you to import and export points, alignments, polylines and parcels. Survey Pro 4.0 now includes the Land XML Import/Export functions under the File menu.
Instrument Manager
The new instrument manager provides a completely new interface for selecting and controlling your various instruments. Total stations, GPS receivers and levels may all be accessed through the new Instrument (Conventional and Leveling modes) and Receiver (GPS mode) tabs of the Settings routine.
Active Map displays
The Active Map displays provide additional functionality to help keep you oriented and able to track information easily.
Basemap Support
Basemaps provide the ability to use a graphic or drawing as the background of a Survey Pro map. This feature helps you identify landmarks to stay oriented and to identify points that need to be staked.
2-D Survey Support
With Survey Pro 4.0 you now have the ability to survey without elevations. And, you can use both 2-D and 3-D points for control on a project for more versatility.
Check Point
Now Survey Pro software gives you the ability to both verify existing point locations and verify occupy point locations, giving you increased reliability and data integrity. The routine is similar to a backsight check or control point check in GPS mode, and is easily accessible from the TR/SS screen
Stake to Polyline
As an extension to the Stake to Line function, this feature allows you to stake to a polyline, for more flexibility in your field work. Once you select or define the line, then the function will compute and display measurement and guidance information for conventional as well as GPS mode surveying.
Slope Staking from a Point
This feature allows a simplified slope staking procedure. You select a point, define a direction to use for the slope, and define the desired slope to stake. The program guides you to the catch point based from the provided data.
Station Offset Point
In this function, you select a polyline, enter station and offset, and then Survey Pro 4.0 will compute a location at that station and offset, and\or create a point at that location. This is similar to point in direction, except that station and offset are used.
Robotic Features
Survey Pro 4.0 offers three great robotic features to make your life easier: Fine Turning, Tap-To-Turn, and EDM (Electronic Distance Measuring) modes. These features enable you to control the movement of the total station and easily switch EDM modes.
GPS Cell Phone Support
Now you can use some models of digital cell phones as your RTK modem. Using cell phones in place of a radio can provide better communications in situations where radios are not optimal.
GPS Start Survey Wizard
In Survey Pro 4.0 there is a new wizard to guide you through the complete GPS setup procedure. The wizard knows where you are in the program, and guides you where to go next. The modified base setup process makes the whole process more intuitive and easier to use.
