As the Windows-based companion product for SOLO Field, SOLO Office provides a similar user interface to that of SOLO Field.

The Shapefile Extraction Routine in SOLO Office lets you open large ESRI Shapefiles and extract only the region you want to take to the field.

• Download SHP file to field data collector for use as a basemap
• Select attributes for use in the field from the associated database file
• Ensure basemap consistency by saving and applying selected areas to additional layers
• Use of decimal lat/long SHP files for basemaps

SOLO Office's Image Preparation Routine provides four main functions.

• Image Clipping - clip area of image to be used in the field
• Image Compression - ratio of 9-to-1 or better can be achieved depending upon original image characteristics
• Geo-referencing - enter pixel dimensions and coordinates of scanned images
• Batch Image Preparation - convert and compress all the images in a directory at once

SOLO Office lets you customize the output of your collected data with it's Advanced ASCII Output Wizard.

SOLO Office provides several key project management features including project packaging, batch file transfer, and project merging.

Project Packaging

SOLO Office allows you to package your projects for download into your field data collector, eliminating forgotten files and errors caused by changed settings.

• Merge multiple projects together for easier file management and export

SOLO Office lets you create custom coordinate system files, called Zone files, which can be downloaded to your field data collector. When using a Zone file in the field, your position data (whether from GPS, laser or from the Map View) is automatically converted into the custom coordinate system.

The Waypoint Routine lets you create or edit a list of locations that can then be used for navigation in SOLO field CE. Enter the coordinates, a point number and a description.

SOLO Office lets you print whatever is currently displayed in the Map View to any Windows-supported printer or plotter. Collected data, basemaps and images will all be sent to the selected ouput device. You can also print your Feature files for a hard-copy reference.
