Corvallis, Ore.—May 11, 2004—Tripod Data Systems (TDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB), and distributor of Nikon Surveying instruments in the US, today announced two new lease programs that will give its U.S. customers additional financing options on the purchase of Nikon total stations. The TDS Nikon 24 Lease Program features a 24-month lease at 0 percent interest, while the TDS Nikon 36 Lease Program offers a 36-month lease at 6.9 percent interest.
"Financing options like these new low-cost leases make Nikon total stations even more practical within our customers' budgets," said Daryl Stewart, Nikon product manager for TDS. "Now it's easier than ever for surveyors to get precise, reliable and function-rich Nikon total stations."
Both new lease programs require a 10 percent down payment. Buyers can include other Nikon and TDS products in the Nikon 24 and Nikon 36 lease programs.
Nikon total stations, distributed in the U.S. and Puerto Rico by TDS, are available in four product lines to cover a range of survey needs and budgets:
- DTM-801 Series - Available in 1-, 2- and 3-second models, with an industry-standard PCMCIA data card slot for fast, easy data transfer between the total station and a laptop or desktop PC.
- DTM-502 Series - Available in 1-, 2- and 3-second models, with a standard 33X telescope that delivers more magnification than any other total station for brighter, clearer images.
- DTM-302 Series - Featuring easy-to-use onboard data collection and stakeout functions for up to 10,000 points, and a long-life battery with 16 hours of nonstop operation-tops in the industry.
- NPL-302 Series - Uses exclusive focused-beam technology in reflectorless mode virtually eliminating erroneous target recognition.
