Corvallis, Ore.—March 02, 2004—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced today it is offering an extended warranty option for new Nikon total stations. This option lengthens the current initial factory warranty from two to three years.

The extended warranty covers product function failures, offering repairs at authorized TDS service centers. It must be purchased at the same time as the total station. The extended warranty can be included in the TDS Lease Program.

"The Nikon total stations have been very reliable in the rugged environments where our users work," said Daryl Stewart, TDS Nikon product manager. "Adding this extended warranty gives these surveyors additional peace of mind and additional protection of their investment."

Extended warranty pricing and availability

The suggested retail price for the new extended warranty is $495.00. Extended warranties can be purchased from authorized TDS-Nikon dealers at the time of total station purchase.

About Nikon total stations

The Nikon total station models include the DTM-801, DTM-502, DTM-302 and NPL-302 series. Nikon total stations offer efficiency and accuracy and are designed to handle the demanding conditions surveyors face.
