Tripod Data Systems Names Daryl W. Stewart as Marketing Product Manager

Corvallis, Ore.—July 30, 2003—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced it has named Daryl W. Stewart as marketing product manager. Stewart begins his new position immediately and reports to Bill Martin, TDS marketing director.
Stewart will be responsible for managing Nikon survey products, which are now available through TDS. In June, Trimble, TDS’ parent company, finalized a joint venture agreement with Nikon Corporation by which TDS will serve as the distributor for Nikon survey products in the United States, including sales, support and service. Prior to joining TDS, Stewart spent 11 years with Nikon as a regional sales manager and as a systems manager.
"Daryl’s extensive knowledge, experience and track record with Nikon products make him the ideal choice to manage Nikon products for TDS,” Martin said. “Daryl knows how to build and sustain a sales and distribution network by working with sales staff, dealers and end users."
Stewart studied education at the University of Tasmania and holds a bachelor of science degree in surveying from Curtin University in western Australia.
