Corvallis, Ore.—February 5, 2003—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) today announced that customers currently using TDS Survey LinkTM can receive a $200 rebate when they upgrade to the new ForeSight DXMTM (Data eXchange Manager) software. This offer applies to purchases of ForeSight DXM made by March 31, 2003.
"ForeSight DXM bridges the gap between field data collection and computer-aided design (CAD) software, giving surveyors the tools to graphically analyze their data, check for errors, export, and generally manage the data more efficiently," said Bill Martin, TDS director of survey marketing and sales. "This rebate off the list price of $395 gives Survey Link users a strong incentive to upgrade to ForeSight DXM."
ForeSight DXM provides integrated data management, editing, analysis, conversion, viewing and adjusting tools that are tightly integrated with the data collector. Surveyors can quickly transfer files between their data collector and PC to see the survey graphically, including setups and measurements. Users can manage project files, check data for accuracy and completeness, make simple edits, and prepare data for the field survey or CAD development. ForeSight DXM also lets users export survey data to most popular CAD formats—including LandXML—with all the lines intact; they won't have to process even a single linework command.
To smooth the transition to the new software, ForeSight DXM comes with a fully functional version of Survey Link, including the digital level and geodetic modules. Users can continue using Survey Link while they learn to use to ForeSight DXM.
The $200 rebate applies to the user's initial purchase of ForeSight DXM. Purchases of additional site licenses do not qualify for the rebate. Customers must send in their Survey Link hardlock, dated ForeSight DXM purchase receipt (photocopies are acceptable), and a completed rebate form, available from their dealer or online at www.tdsway.com/dxm_rebate. TDS must receive the completed rebate application by April 30, 2003; rebate checks will mail 2-4 weeks after receipt and verification.
ForeSight DXM is available from TDS-authorized dealers. It is currently listed at $395. For a free demo of ForeSight DXM, visit www.tdsway.com/dxm_demo (requires registration) or call TDS sales at 541-753-9322.
