Corvallis, Ore.—September 3, 2002—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced today it has appointed Raymond G. Kerwin as regional sales manager for the Northeast region. Kerwin's appointment continues TDS' expansion of sales and service efforts as well as support for its dealer distribution network.
"Ray is a great addition to our TDS team," said Bill Martin, TDS director of survey marketing and sales. "His depth of knowledge in the surveying world will be a great asset for our dealers and customers. After more than a decade at Topcon, he is really a well-rounded positioning expert. He put himself through college working for a surveying and civil engineering firm, so he learned the ropes from the ground up - as a rod man, instrument man, party chief and site engineer."
Kerwin comes to TDS after 12 years at Topcon, where he was the product manager of the robotic, optical and data collection product lines. He studied civil engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Kerwin will start immediately, and will report to Martin.
