Tripod Data Systems names Dennis Bowers as manufacturing manager
New manager will focus on manufacturing process of TDS products

Corvallis, Ore.—July 19, 2002—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced today the appointment of Dennis A. Bowers as manufacturing manager. Bowers' principal assignment is to define and implement a strategic plan for TDS' manufacturing supply chain and distribution. He will start immediately and will report to David Scribner, TDS president.
"TDS is very fortunate to add Dennis to our team," said Scribner. "His experience will be a great benefit in streamlining and improving the quality of our manufacturing process. His extensive experience with Hewlett-Packard will give our customers a strong advocate in the manufacturing process."
Bowers joins TDS after working 22 years for Hewlett-Packard (HP), most recently in the Mobile Computing Division. At HP he held both engineering and management positions, working primarily in the server and personal computer markets. Bowers has a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Davis.
Bowers' responsibilities will include managing the manufacturing process and ensuring quality in TDS products including the rugged Ranger handheld computer.
