Corvallis, Ore.—April 09, 2002—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced today plans to hold a drawing to give away a software package of their GIS/mapping software SOLO CE 3.1 at the FIG/ACSM/ASPRS Spring 2002 Conference being held April 19-26 in Washington DC.

"We are excited to introduce surveyors at the Conference to the latest version of SOLO. The new editing flexibility makes it much easier for users to make changes and amendments while they are out in the field," said Chaur-Fong Chen, TDS GIS Division Manager. "Other programs require additional office software to perform similar edits. This functionality, plus the new scripting capabilities, will prove to be real time savers for SOLO users as they complete data collection, maintenance and reassessment projects."

SOLO CE 3.1 also introduces attribute hyperlinking, a serial input module that allows SOLO CE to interface with external devices such as voltmeters and depth sounders, enhanced GIS export routines, full UNICODE support for international users and the implementation of custom data collection rules for advanced applications.
