TDS ForeSight Completes Field to Office Survey Solution for Nevada Power

CORVALLIS, OREGON—June 14, 1999—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced today that Nevada Power has selected TDS ForeSight, the company's Windows-based solution for survey applications, to increase productivity of both land surveyors and land specialists. ForeSight will be used in conjunction with TDS field data collection products to streamline workflow for surveying, construction and land specialist departments.

With the installation of ForeSight, Nevada Power has implemented one integrated solution, from survey work in the field to finished drawings, using TDS technology. Nevada Power surveyors gather data in the field using TDS data collection products. TDS SurveyLink‘ software transfers the data files to ForeSight, which supports AutoCad .dxf and .dwg file formats.

"There is a significant time savings for us in using a TDS integrated solution because our land specialists now have part of their drawings done automatically," said Paul E. Pangus, PLS, Team Leader, Land Survey, at Nevada Power. "In addition, the per seat cost and support from TDS made ForeSight a very attractive solution for us."

Nevada Power also purchased onsite training for ForeSight from TDS. Because ForeSight is specialized for survey applications, the training is brief and the learning curve shallow.
