CORVALLIS, OREGON—March 4, 1999—Tripod Data Systems has released a new version of its Survey Pro with GPS surveying data collection software that supports a larger number of global positioning system (GPS) receivers.

Survey Pro with GPS version 4.4.03 adds receivers manufactured by Javad, Leica and Topcon to the list of TDS compatible GPS equipment. Previous releases supported Ashtech, Nikon/NovAtel, Sokkia and GPS receivers by other leading manufacturers.

Survey Pro is professional-grade surveying data collection software that incorporates construction functions and advanced road layout functions. Survey Pro with GPS receives data from GPS receivers that is accurate to within one centimeter. The software uses a simple transformation that enables users to work in a local coordinate system instead of using latitude, longitude and altitude data.

Price and Availability
Survey Pro with GPS version 4.4.03 is available now. Upgrading from a previous version costs $300.
