John Paul Harmon
Director of Engineering and Production Operations
Paul Harmon joined TDS in January 2005 and serves as the director of engineering and production operations for the company. Paul oversees product development, manufacturing, and engineering in support of customer service. He is responsible for strategic direction that ensures the performance and quality of TDS rugged handheld products acheives the high level of performance mandated by TDS marketing.
Prior to joining TDS, Paul spent 23 years with Hewlett Packard, first designing medical products and DeskJet printers. He then lead an inkjet manufacturing team before taking on research in inkjet technology that lead to commonplace inkjet photo printing, HP's 4th generation inkjet technology TIJ4, and HP's page wide array inkjet printers. His final assignments with HP included the invention of MEMs devices such as Atomic Resolution Storage, and nanotechnology in partnership with HP Labs and Sandia National Labs. Paul served on the Executive Steering Council of International SemaTech, a semiconductor industry consortium.
Paul has a BSME from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MSME from Stanford University in Palo Alto and serves on both the Oregon State University and George Fox University Department of Engineering Industrial Advisory Boards.
